Recruit Rebecca Haar thought that if she just gave it her all that would be enough to stay in the game. Unfortunately she was wrong, and the other recruits felt she was holding them back. In the end, 11 of the remaining 14 recruits voted to dismiss her out of BOOT CAMP. Recruit Sue Yen Pupo knew coming into BOOT CAMP that she was a very opinionated person with lots of attitude, but despite her efforts to be a team player she rubbed the wrong person the wrong way. Upon being dismissed, Haar took Pupo out of the game with her. During the episode, Recruit Jodi Hutak was chosen by democratic vote - and with a little clever strategy by the guys - as the team's squad leader. The male recruits believed they should choose Hutak to avoid alienating themselves from the females. During Operation M.E.S.S.
