Sasuke has set off again to gather new information about the remains of Kara. On the way, he remembers a story from his past, when Naruto was afflicted with a mysterious illness.

Sasuke is now more closely monitored and harassed by the guards. Later, when he searches for the writings of the Hermit of the Six Ways, he meets Meno again.
Sasuke's Story: The Secret in the Cellar
Sasuke and Sakura devise a plan to trick Zansuru so that Sasuke can get into his cellar. By chance, the Prime Minister's messenger comes along, whom they can use for their plan.
Sasuke's Story: The Sky that Fell to the Earth
Sasuke and Sakura are close to solving the mystery. However, they are not the only ones who are after the extreme particles.
Sasuke's Story: The Ring
Jiji has betrayed Sasuke and Sakura. He makes common cause with Zansuru to revive his dead wife. Sasuke tries to recover the extreme particles and unexpectedly gets help from Meno.
Claw Marks
Code has inherited the will of Isshiki Otsutsuki. He is on his way to a person he wants to meet. However, he encounters resistance in the process.
Captives
Code has freed Ada from her deep sleep and wants to join forces with her so that he can take revenge on Naruto and Sasuke. Ada, however, has other plans. She reveals everything about her terrible abilities to Code.
Qualifications
Kawaki has himself examined by Amado. Amado tells him that he has not yet lost his status as a vessel. He suggests that he use Isshiki Otsutsuki's power for his own purposes, to protect the village of Konoha and the Hokage.
Presence
Boruto and Kawaki are watched all the time to make sure they don't stray from the village. However, Kawaki devises a plan to erase his chakra signature and sneak away.
Control
Boruto faces Code to prevent him from taking Kawaki with him. He witnesses Code's abilities and doesn't know how to react. But then the unbelievable happens and Boruto's karma awakens.
Hunger
Momoshiki has awakened and starts fighting Code. Naruto and Shikamaru arrive to bring the situation under control. Code, however, comes up with a new plan.
Farewell
As he thinks back of his son's life, Naruto rushes to Boruto's lifeless body. Code is surprised at not only the death of his intended sacrifice, but the return of Kawaki's Karma. Ada warns Code not to consider Kawaki his sacrifice.
