Tuesday afternoon's action begins with the mixed pairs final. 2017 saw an Anglo-Scottish triumph as England's Nick Brett partnered Claire Johnston in their victory over Paul Foster and Rebecca Field.

The form book would suggest Paul Foster is continuing his campaign to defend his world singles crown on Wednesday afternoon. But he is likely to face a stern second-round test today.

The most prestigious title in world bowls has been claimed by the greatest players in the game, including Alex Marshall, Paul Foster, David Bryant, Tony Allcock, Richard Corsie and Andy Thomson.
There were emotional scenes on the rink at Hopton-On-Sea in 2017 as Scotland's Paul Foster claimed the title for a fifth time.
This year's finalists will be eager to join the illustrious roll of honour.
