Bradley Walsh & Son: Breaking Dad - Season 5

Season 5

Episodes

Episode 1
Walsh Senior and Junior embark on another challenge-filled road trip and this time they are in for a real culture shock as they head to Latin America. They start out in Mexico, where they grapple with one of the country's most famous sports - lucha libre wrestling. The next day they are in for a fright when they visit an eerie island inhabited by creepy, decrepit dolls - but something far more scary is waiting for them when they find themselves clinging to the side of a mountain.

Episode 2
The Walshes are still in Mexico and still on the side of a mountain. Can they complete the final part of the challenge, which requires Bradley to swing across the top of the mountain with nothing but a terrifying drop below him? Once recovered, the father and son head toward Mexico's coast, where Barney takes his dad inside a pitch-black cave that's home to snakes and thousands of bats. They also have fun at a waterpark before joining the cast of Cirque du Soleil.

Episode 3
The Walshes reach Guatemala and pick up their new mode of transport, which quickly becomes a nightmare for Bradley to drive. They travel into the jungle, where they abseil down a cliff face into a waterfall and meet a quirky shaman who believes in the healing powers of chocolate. They then head off for a bike ride - but what Barney forgets to mention to his dad is that they are riding on a tightrope 25 metres in the air.

Episode 4
The father and son duo's road trip takes them to Nicaragua, where they meet some colourful characters in the local market, and get a taste of the national sport when they join a professional baseball team. With the country renowned for its volcanoes, the pair take one of their most dangerous and spectacular challenges, as they descend into an active volcano.

Episode 5
The duo's Latin America road trip continues as they arrive in Costa Rica, where Brad's fear of heights is tested as Barney arranges a flight in a tiny, roofless helicopter to take in some of Costa Rica's breathtaking coastal views. Later, the pair meet a quirky animal lover, before heading to the capital city of San Jose, where they join a local Roller Derby team for a match against their biggest rivals.

Episode 6
The duo continue to explore Costa Rica. Inspired by childhood memories, the pair head to the country's cloud forest, where they attempt tree climbing. They also visit a local sanctuary that is home to 2000 free roaming dogs, before heading into the countryside to meet a former Olympian in Kayak Slalom, where the father and son go head-to-head in a time trial.

Episode 7
The pair reach the final stop on their Latin America road trip as they arrive in Panama, where they spend time with some local indigenous tribes and compete in some ancestral games. When the pair reach the capital city, the skyscraper skyline is a big clue to what Barney has in store for his dad, and Brad is not pleased when he finds out they will be cleaning the windows of one of those skyscrapers. Finally, Bradley and Barney end their trip with a visit to meet Grammy Award-winning jazz musician, Danilo Pérez.
