Episódio 1
At dawn, the lifeless body of a 12-year-old gypsy is discovered at the Bom Jesus viewpoint. The body has open arms as if it had been nailed to a cross. While the Scientific Police investigate the place, two inspectors from the Judiciary Police's homicide brigade, Maria and Jorge, try to discover the identity of the dead man, which leads them to the Enguardas housing estate, where a large gypsy community lives. Their efforts are fruitless because no one talks to them...

Episódio 2
Once the victim has been identified, the investigation advances, but with some limitations due to the fact that the crime scene is unknown. Maria and Jorge interrogate Valter, pointing António as the main suspect in his brother's death. It turns out that Dalila, Carlitos' sister, has meanwhile gone to the church to ask for help from António, with whom she is in love and who she knows that this passion is reciprocal.

Episódio 3
At the university, the students wait for António's class, but he is being interrogated by the PJ, who suspect that Father António knows something that he refuses to reveal. At the Episcopal Palace, Monsignor Abel informs the Archbishop of António's interrogation and he is furious for having given him a second chance.

Episódio 4
The newspaper publishes on the front page that Father António is the suspect in Carlitos' death. But there are those in the PJ who try to divert suspicion towards Valter. After the interrogation, and because he cannot reveal what Carlitos told him in confession, António realizes that he has to find evidence or testimonies that could incriminate the real criminal and asks Alex for help in trying to find former seminarians who have been victims of sexual abuse. when they attended seminary.

Episódio 5
Jorge continues to pressure the local press and PJ colleagues with his thesis that Carlitos' brother is the main suspect, which increases the discomfort within the PJ. Maria continues the interrogations of the witnesses, among them Helena. In the end Maria thinks she hides something. António also continues his investigation in search of an answer about the events of the past in the seminary and that can help the Bonifácio family in the search for an answer to what happened to Carlitos.

Episódio 6
The police question António again, as traces of blood appeared in the church. Maria thinks he's hiding something, but when interrogated, António comes out in Valter's defense. But at the end of the interrogation António is again the suspect in Carlitos' death. Antonio is lost. He recalls the moment when he learned Carlitos' disturbing revelations in confession and could not ask anyone for help, least of all the Archdiocese. Lena decides to file a complaint due to the video circulating on the internet involving her, but feels the first obstacles. Valter asks Delilah for help so that his parents believe he is innocent of his brother's death, but despair over everything that is happening leads him to commit madness.

Episódio 7
António denounces cases of pedophilia in the church to the Bishop and feels the first antibodies. His gesture will have tragic consequences. But in the investigation everything changes when Valter is found in the lifeless residential. At the site Maria notices the tattoo of two street kids. This one is just like one of Carlitos. She manages to convince them to talk to her about everything they know about Carlitos. Maria tries to convince the boss to follow the line of investigation with everything she managed to find out from the street kids, but he refuses. Maria is frustrated.

Episódio 8
Alex and António continue their search for someone who wants to tell what happened during the Seminar. Alex even assaults the institution to get some contacts. Maria doesn't give up and doesn't give up looking for cars with AA plates, which leads her to a suspicious car, but the boss refuses to ask for a warrant to carry out expertise on it. Dalila and her father Bonifácio breathe a sigh of relief. After the misfortunes they went through, Delilah's betrothed puts an end to the commitment that united the families. António and Alex find themselves at a dead end, as they cannot get anyone to talk about it. Faced with this, Alex decides to speak publicly, as he too was a victim of abuse. The siege of the investigation begins to close in and the Archbishop has no other solution: to hand over Monsignor Abel. Carlitos' funeral is a moment of great emotion and also of farewells. But where is it proven that love overcomes obstacles that were thought insurmountable.
