20 years ago, Fanny Legoff was accused of being responsible for the disappearance of her best friend, Laura Perrier, in the forest of Brocéliande. Laura's body was never found. Since then, Fanny has rebuilt her life in Paris, where she has become a biologist. Until the day Fanny receives a strange package... which contains a billhook covered in Laura's blood. Who sent her this billhook? For what purpose? Unable to warn the police without incriminating herself, Fanny decides to return to Brocéliande and get to the bottom of the truth.

As she was about to make revelations about Laura's disappearance, Chloé goes missing. Like 20 years ago, Fanny wakes up in the forest, amnesiac, her clothes stained with blood. However, it turns out that the blood she has on her is Laura's! If Laura is still alive, where has she been all these years? Defended by Julien, the lawyer she met in a bar in Rennes, Fanny finds proof that she was drugged... by a stranger wearing Laura's old clothes.

The autopsy of Laura, whose body was buried under the tarmac of the university courtyard, shows that she was murdered 20 years ago. But then how did Laura's blood end up on her clothes? While the police increase the pressure, Fanny can count on the support of Maxence and Julien, even if jealousy grows...
