A famous danish gender debater and owner of Copenhagens first gender neutral kindergarten is found murdered at a construction site in Malmö. Saga is forced to work together with a new danish colleague, who is having a hard time accepting Saga for who she is.

Another spectacular murder is found with the same aesthetic details. The suspicions is being directed towards a danish blogger, Lise Friis Andersen. She have openly expressed disgust towards both victims but denies the allegations.

The police recieves a ransom note for the release of Hans. They successfully locate him, but when they are about to rescue him they found his kidnapper shot, and Hans has been kidnapped again. Are there more people after Hans? At the same time Moretn Anker is shot to death and there are details in all the murders that makes the police think there are a connection. Also, all the victims have connections to the blogger Lise Friis Andersen. Can she help set a trap for the perpertrator? Saga is feeling more and more frustrated - Hans is abducted and her mother keeps pressuring her both physically and mentally. And Saga's new boss is not as forgiving as Hans was.

In a hostage drama, Saga almost makes a mistake, but they are successfully apprehending the suspect who is taken to interrogation. Linn is keeping an eye on Saga and thinks she should take it easy and process everything that happens to her. Meanwhile, a fourth spectacular murder is discovered. Saga and Henrik realize they don't have the right suspect. Saga and Henrik are getting closer to each other and Henrik gives Saga a cold case to read, about three missing persons: a woman and two little girls.

Lillian discovers that all victims have the same burn mark inside the mouth. It would seem that the perpetrator is punishing his victims for something. But what? Saga notices Linn meeting her mother and realizes they are talking about her. Linn continue questioning Sagas acting and limits her authority, which makes Saga doubt herself. Maybe she isn't as good as Hans always told her? But Henrik shows that he is on her side and they are now a team. Linn starts investigate Sagas past.

Saga and Henrik finds a connection between the victims and some art at a museum. And all the art is owned by Freddie Holst, a famous and successful danish businessman. Meanwhile, a fifth murder is discovered. The investigation is becoming more complicated and Linn is placing even greater demands on Saga. Henrik eases his heart and tells his secret to Saga.

An elderly couple is found murdered outside of Ystad. They are connected to an artwork and both have burnt symbols in the mouth like the previous victims. Through an e-mail address they are finally able to track down the suspected killer and the hunt begins on both sides of the bridge.

The hunt for the murder intesifies and Saga and Henrik are sure about the identity of the murderer, but are their theories correct? The investigation makes a new turn and meanwhile Saga gets a new visit by the internal affairs. Sagas identity as a police officer is threatened.

Saga is forced to leave the investigation and her old colleague Rasmus takes her place. Henrik demands that Saga returns to the investigation. Together Saga and Henrik realize the connection between the victims, and who the perpertrator is.

The hunt for the perpertrator continues. Saga and Henrik finds crucial clues that leads them on track, but is there enough time?
