Lars Monsen has been preparing for eight years. The first leg is 550 kilometers from the sea ice in Alaska to the forests of the Northwest Territory. An adventurous char fishing and a life-threatening bear await there.

Lars must cover 1,500 kilometers in the most desolate and inaccessible wilderness in the world. The close contact with the wolves is one of the things he values most, but two dogs go missing.

Lars has arrived at the Inuit village of Arviat by Hudson Bay. The polar bears have their migration route past here, and one of them attacks the Norwegian.

2000 kilometer på havisen
Lars continues his journey on Hudson Bay with dog sled. A small puppy is born in the frozen wilderness, but faces an uncertain future. The expedition battles mild spring weather and great distances.

Lars paddles through Quebec, but the dogs get so run over that all but one have to be left behind in a village. On the last leg, Lars meets many bears who have never seen humans and will not be intimidated.
