TV series that adapts the famous novel by Vicente Blasco Ibanez. In a village on the Albufera valenciana in an atmosphere of fishermen and rice, three generations of the family "the Dove" together in the place: the grandfather, the best fisherman on the lake, Hue, the son, who has devoted his life to gain ground water in an endless task, carrying earth to get his boat, inch by inch, to be able to cultivate a field, finally Tonet, the grandson, the black sheep of the family, which, by their conduct, cause disgrace of all. As a background of family life is the Spain of the late nineteenth and early twentieth century, an era full social transformation.
