Meanwhile, excessive heat in the Chicago area puts pressure on the relationship between a regional electric utility and their biggest electric supplier, and a reporter tries to get a whistle-blower to go on the record about weaknesses in the grid.

Midwest Power struggles to bring the grid back on online, news services cooperate with the National Weather Administration to get the word out to an oblivious city population, and a whistleblower turned hacker must try to reverse the damage he unwittingly caused.
