The fighting between Israel and Hezbollah in Lebanon continued escalating Friday as the Israeli military says it killed about a dozen top Hezbollah members in a rare airstrike in Beirut. Chris Livesay reports from Tel Aviv. In a rare unanimous vote, the House passed a bill Friday that would bolster Secret Service protection for both presidential and vice presidential candidates. The vote came as the acting director of the Secret Service said some agents will face disciplinary action for security lapses at the rally in Pennsylvania where a gunman opened fire on former President Donald Trump. Nicole Sganga has details. The Georgia State Election Board voted Friday in favor of hand counting all ballots in the election in November, which could lead to a delay in the reporting of Georgia's election results. A Kentucky sheriff charged with fatally shooting a judge in his chambers Thursday was embroiled in a legal case before the deadly encounter. Letcher County Sheriff Shawn Stines gave a deposition this week in a lawsuit accusing him of failing to investigate sexual abuse allegations involving one of his deputies. North Carolina Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson, the Republican candidate for governor, is no longer attending former President Donald Trump's rally in North Carolina Saturday. It comes after CNN unearthed Robinson's alleged posts on a pornographic website. Robinson is denying the report and refusing to drop out of the race.
