Larina and Zakharzhevskaya simultaneously return to Leningrad at the end of summer. Larin is met by her old friends and Nikita. Everyone goes to Nikita to celebrate the successful completion of filming. Behind them, arrives with Tanya artist Belozerov - her partner in the film. Zakharzhevskaya, for whom the break with Pavel has long become an obvious fact, comes to the apartment to pick up his things. She leaves Nyutochka in memory of the family bracelet from the headset of Alexei Zakharzhevsky and leaves to live with Angela. Paul tells his father about parting with his wife. He, in turn, informs his son of his decision to leave the post of first secretary of the city committee and move to a new job - ambassador to Guatemala.
