The Derby From Epsom

Clare Balding and Nick Luck introduce coverage of the 237th Derby, the most famous and prestigious flat race in the world. Run over Epsom's testing and undulating track, this event provides a unique test for middle distance three-year old thoroughbreds. Irish trainer Aidan O'Brien has had three of the last four winners and is set to have a big influence on the race again, with a number of contenders led by Chester Vase winner US Army Ranger. Twenty-time champion jump jockey Sir Anthony McCoy and last year's winner Frankie Dettori join the team to provide a fascinating look at the course. Plus, as part of her 90th birthday celebrations Her Majesty the Queen is to present the trophy to the winner's connections. Epsom: 2.00, 2.35, 3.10, 3.45 and 4.30pm.
