Chantal - Season 1

Inspector Chantal Vantomme has moved to police zone Spoorkin, the smallest and westernmost police zone in our country. There she starts a new life as coordinator of the Loveringem district police station and, as a single mother, finds herself in a macho world where the apparent calm turns out to be very deceptive.

Due to the events of last night, Chantal and her team now face a real murder investigation. As a result, Chantal and Cloedt will have to cooperate with the Veurne CID. They soon think they have caught the culprit, but nothing is what it seems...

Mia Verkest comes to report a hit-and-run accident. According to her, Veronique Schiettekatte, the wife of far-right politician Christophe Bulcke, drove into her car. This is a particularly intriguing case as Veronique died a year ago. Chantal and Cloedt go to investigate.

It seemed like a perfectly normal Sunday morning until Etienne Loobuyck is left for dead in his driveway. Loobuyck is close friends and business partner of mayor Vanhecke, who asks for the case to be prioritized. Who is the principal Colossus and where does this act of aggression come from? Is it linked to a rejected building permit? And why is Dorien, Vanhecke's wife, so upset?

While hunting, Vanhecke finds a half-buried bride in the woods. Since this is a murder case, Chantal, D'Haese and the Sheriff get reinforcements from the Federal Police. She starts her own investigation behind the back of the Federal Police...

An intoxicated Professor Joosten is pulled from the water. The man tried to dump the head of a horse into the water, but fell into the water himself. When the horse's remains are discovered in the professor's garage, he finds himself in trouble. He finds himself on thin ice altogether when it turns out that the horse was owned by Alexia Maselis, his ex-girlfriend and daughter of Claude Maselis, a close friend of Schietekatte's.

Loveringem is under the spell of a mysterious quiz. What is going on? Who is painting quiz questions on various Loveringem buildings at night, and why? Chantal goes to investigate.

Emma and her class go on a trip to the town hall. Once there, they are taken hostage by the creator of the quiz that has been captivating Loveringem for several days now. All troops are mobilized to get the children out safely, but where is Chantal? And what does Schietecatte have to do with this?
