Charlie searches for the diamond ring that he pawned. He learns that a diamond merchant, Eckman, is manufacturing diamonds for Vex-Cor that will allow the company to play "big brother".

Charlie investigates a missing persons case in Cape Town, and Reena is faced with a difficult decision when she meets a young woman who is dying of AIDS.

Charlie takes Blues Paddock into his confidence and learns he's being hunted. Reena comes face to face with her programmer and, in Alpha, Jasmine and Tukarrs get closer.

Charlie goes to see an old friend for help controlling his visions.
