The new series continues. From crumbling ceilings to time-worn turrets, British families discover what it takes to buy and renovate beautiful chateaux in France. At the medieval Château Mareuil, Belinda and Lee are frantically preparing for their first wedding of the year. But Lee has broken his foot and the bride and groom are expected in just a few days' time! Meanwhile, near the market town of Le Bugue, Tim and Krys are starting major renovations on their swimming pool and terrace, and they're desperate to complete the project before this season's guests arrive. And up in Brittany, Donna and Paul try to install their dilapidated water mill's largest-ever window. Will Paul get the crucial measurements right?

Geordie's plain-speaking, down to earth approach to policing complemented Sidney's more gentle technique of coaxing information from witnesses and suspects. Their unlikely pairing became a true friendship as each offered a different insight into the crimes they unravelled.
