Aulus Paulinus was send to cold and wet Britain as suitable punishment for accidentally insulting the girlfriend of the Roman Emperor. Settled in the British town of Chelmsford in 123 AD, he therefore ended up in a comic power struggle with British chieftain Badvoc, who did not have a haircut for more than twenty-five years.
