Sixteen world-class chefs face off for the first-ever Chopped: Gold Medal Games. Over the five-part tournament, host Ted Allen challenges these elite competitors to create gold medal-worthy appetizers, entrées and desserts, utilizing the mystery basket of ingredients each round with a limited amount of time. A rotating panel of Chopped judges, including Scott Conant, Amanda Freitag, Alex Guarnaschelli, Marc Murphy, Chris Santos, and Geoffrey Zakarian determine which four culinary contenders move on to the finale for a chance at winning the gold and walking away with $50,000. Let the games begin!

All eyes are on the four returning champions to find out who will be the Gold Medal Games Grand Champion and go home with $50,000! In the first round, the elite culinary athletes open up their baskets to find something grilled and something intended to frighten them. In the entree round, the judges wonder which competitors will be far, far off in their treatment of far far, an Indian snack food. And champagne (in an unusual form) is in the final basket, but there won't be any celebrating until after the final chop!
