Scarpetta follows Kay Scarpetta, Chief Medical Examiner, as she returns to Virginia and resumes her former position with complex relationships, both personal and professional – including her sister Dorothy, with plenty of grudges and secrets to uncover.

The series is based on Patricia Cornwell's literary hero, a brilliant forensic pathologist, inspired by former Virginia Chief Medical Examiner Marcella Farinelli Fierro, who uses forensic technology to solve crimes.

Set in 1991 Miami, Dexter: Original Sin follows Dexter as he transitions from student to avenging serial killer. This is a particular challenge for young Dexter as he begins a forensics internship at the Miami Metro Police Department.

After Neurosurgeon Maggie Sullivan's personal and professional life are thrown into turmoil she returns home to Sullivan's Crossing. While there, Maggie is forced to navigate her complicated present while confronting the painful past she has chosen to ignore for years.
