For the shoppers, workers, residents and tourists in Greater Manchester, this is the busiest period of the year. Over five magical weekdays, the programme goes behind the scenes to reveal the massive planning and organisation which goes into making sure everyone who comes into Manchester at Christmas time has a safe, enjoyable and memorable festive time.

The programme follows Tameside council enforcement as they track down unsafe taxis and illegal alcohol and meets the Manchester market stall holders hoping to have a bumper Christmas.

Plus how one of Manchester's premier hotels celebrates Christmas and how the humble Christmas tree makes it into our homes in time for the big day.
