Episode 1
Joseon's notorious slave chaser and money hungry Daegil, find a woman he has been searching for 10 years. She is a slave named Eonnyeon who is directly involved with the fall of Daegil's family.

Episode 2
After running away from Daegil's house 10 years ago, she changed her name to Hyewon. Seonghwan sets Hyewon up to marry a widowed rich man named Choi.

Episode 3
Daegil and Taeha engage in a duel. Taeha saves Hyewon from getting raped. Eopbok, who was forced to return as a slave because of Daegil.

Episode 4
Second State Councilor Lee Gyeongsik orders Cheolung to kill Taeha's teacher and royal grandson Seokgyeon. but Cheolung hesitates because Taeha is his former friend who saved his life.

Episode 5
Taeha's teacher Im Yeongho waits for Taeha as he gives an order to Jo, who is his confidant. Hanseok, who was enticed by Lee Gyeongsik to betray Taeha, is now watching the royal grandson in Jeju as a guard.

Episode 6
Hyewon a former slave tries to leave Taeha when she learns that the slave chasers are after him. Daegil studies the records and goes to Chungju because that's where Taeha's teacher Im Yeongho resides.

Episode 7
Daegil, Taeha, Cheolung, Baekho, and Yunji cross each other in downtown Chungju. Amidst the Chaos, Daegil catches a glimpse of Hyewon and gets stabbed by Cheolung while in a state of shock.

Episode 8
After getting kicked out of Daegil's group, Seolhwa gets into trouble after she runs into her own Sadangpae group. Taeha hides in the house of his former boss General Shin because Hyewon is injured.

Episode 9
In order to eliminate evidence, Second State Councilor Lee Gyeongsik kills every single one of Cheon Jiho's messengers. Nonetheless, Cheon Jiho is excited about making money in Jeju.

Episode 10
While running away with the royal grandson, Hanseom runs into Cheolung and engages in a duel. Taeha and Hyewon are mistaken as the murderer who killed the guards.

Episode 11
Second State Councilor Lee Gyeongsik suspects that someone out there is targeting him. In an attempt to find Taeha's whereabouts, Officer Oh arrests and interrogates the veterinarian.

Episode 12
Jo tries to appoint the royal grandson as the Crown Prince and start a revolution, but Taeha has doubts about Jo.

Episode 13
After the injury, Cheolung turns coldhearted. He kills the scholars who petitioned to pardon the royal grandson and tries to find information on Taeha.

Episode 14
Eopbok follows an order to ambush Yongi and his gang, but gets into trouble after being counterattacked.

Episode 15
The revenge-seeking Cheon Jiho gets arrested after falling for Officer Oh's trap. As Jo and Taeha's tensions grow high, Jo plots to take the royal grandson.

After eliminating the rest of Taeha and Jo's gang, Hwang Cheolung goes after Jo.

Episode 17
Daegil and Taeha learn from Cheolung's torture that it was Cheolung who attacked General Choi, Wangson, and Taeha's men.

Episode 18
Daegil gets hanged. He slowly dies as he thinks about Eonnyeon. Meanwhile, General Choi and Wangson hide in Slanted Ear's village.

Episode 19
Eopbok decides to kill Keutbong's master who is mean to Banjjak. In order to save Hyewon, Daegil attacks the government office by himself.

Episode 20
As the unknown man and Eopbok's gang plot to attack Seonhyecheong, they start to think that Giyun is embezzling money.

Episode 21
Hanseok visits Lee Jaejun is Suwon to ask for soldiers, but gets surrounded by Jo and the government soldiers.

Episode 22
The unknown man and the slaves attack Seonhyecheong. Beom figures out that Cheolung and his gang attacked the bandits.

Episode 23
During the commotion over the Seonhyecheong battle, Daegil and Taeha hide in the tavern. They decide to use Daegil as bait to escape Hanyang and get on a boat with the envoy from Qing.
