Jamal and Chris try to impress students at their new high school where the principal has them collaborate on a mural.

Jamal's musical abilities inspire Chris' mother to begin a fund drive for a music department at Manhattan High.

Chris and Jamal blow off a field trip to attend a Knicks game with Cassidy. But little do they know Principal Noble has spotted them on TV.

Alberto lines up a job delivering packages---which Chris and Jamal discover are being sent by a drug dealer.

Chris and Jamal try to "out-date" each other for the school's first dance of the year.

The boys realize they're from different "Pop" cultures: Jamal's father is a disciplinarian, while Chris's is hands-off and distant.

After Chris "borrows" his dad's Ferrari, it gets side-swiped and Chris must get the car fixed without his parents finding out.

Chris and Jamal become the respective campaign managers for student-council candidates Cassidy and Dawn.

Jamal and Chris decide to make a movie using the school camera.

Jamal questions the meaning of it all when a drunken driver kills his friend, an honors student from Manhattan High.

Chris wants to parlay Jamal's talent for picking football games into big money by wagering with a bookie. Or, they can make even more cash by taking the bets themselves.

Chris tries to steer clear of a new student teacher---a college girl he started dating after convincing her he was out of high school. Meanwhile, Dawn is voted "Worst Dancer."

Principal Noble's stay in the hospital triggers in Jamal painful memories of his mother's recent death.

Everybody except Jamal senses trouble brewing in his old neighborhood buddy, who was recently released from reform school.
