Clash - Season 1

Season 1
Episodes

Episode 1
Radio 1 DJs Bobby Friction and Nihal team up with two teams of musically talented kids from across the UK in the first part of a six-week challenge to mash-up a piece of well-known music and perform it live on stage.
The teams meet for the first time, discover the task ahead of them, and take on their first weekly challenge at Wellington Barracks in London - to re-version pop tracks to be played by the Band of the Scots Guards.

Episode 2
Hot on the heels of the Military Band drama, Team Bobby and Team Nihal regroup at Clash HQ and, as well as a visit from producer Frankmusik, they are shocked to discover the location where they will be performing their final mash-up.
For their second challenge, the teams have to use everyday sounds that they find at a toy shop and on a farm to recreate a track by the Noisettes.

Episode 3
DJs Bobby Friction and Nihal lead their teams into their third, and possibly toughest, challenge yet - to write and create a Doctor Who music score. Beth's lyrics come up trumps in the mash-ups, worldbeatboxing champion Beardyman drops by and the teams get to hobnob with the stars at the Classical Brits launch party.

Episode 4
The teams are under pressure to get their mash-up tracks in shape for their live performances on stage at Radio 1's Big Weekend, and it's beginning to resemble X-Factor down at the rehearsal rooms. As if thatwasn't enough, the teams are not allowed to use any of their own instruments when Lesley Garrett and vocal group Naturally 7 set a 'half-baked' singing challenge.

Episode 5
In their last week before the final mash-up performance, the Clash teams find themselves in London's home of street performance, Covent Garden, to compete in the final weekly challenge - busking. Will theymaster the performance and drumming skills needed to wow a crowd, and will surprise visits from artists Tinchy Stryder, Pixie Lott and The Saturdays help them or just take their eyes off the ball?

Episode 6
The teams wake up on the day of Radio 1's Big Weekend knowing that they have only one chance to pull off their mashup performances. Six weeks of planning, pressure and challenges end here and in a few nervous hours Radio 1's Bobby Friction and Nihal, alongside their 10 musical talents, will be live on the Introducing Stage trying to put all they have learnt into practice.
Can they pull it off? Can they wow the Armchair Judges? Can they make their team leaders proud and steal the ultimate prize - the Clash trophy?
