A freak wave crashes into the Irish coast, knocking a startled woman 40 feet down a cliff onto the rocks below. A teenage girl riding pillion on her boyfriend's motorbike is flung off and slides underneath an oncoming car, with horrific consequences.

Episode 2
A man is pierced through the heart with the shattered blade of a power tool - his horrified best friend dials 999. Petrified commuters duck for cover as the roof is ripped off a London bus, right above their heads.

Episode 3
A professional surfer is battered by a series of 50-foot waves, while his friend swoops in to try to save him. A cyclist's helmet camera captures the terrifying moment he gets hit by an oncoming car.

Episode 4
A man using a motorised saw nearly severs his arm. As he rapidly loses blood, his wife makes a dramatic 999 call. A pensioner clings to a mooring rope for dear life after falling from a boat into the freezing cold sea.

Episode 5
A British student is lost and starving in the remote Turkish mountains. His parents desperately wait to discover if he's alive for eight agonising days. An amateur racing driver loses control at high speed during a competition, sending his car hurtling down a ditch.

Episode 6
A record-breaking powerboat racer flips his vessel into the air while travelling at over 130mph in the Lake District. There is a terrifying 999 call as a young man awakes to find his 24-year-old girlfriend having a cardiac arrest.

Episode 7
Five fishermen are swept off their sinking ship into the vast Atlantic Ocean as a helicopter winchman desperately tries to pluck them from the sea. A 999 call records the moment a petrified 11-year-old boy performs CPR on his motionless dad.

Episode 8
A jockey leading a race suddenly falls unconscious from his horse, right into the path of the oncoming field. A five-month-old baby is completely unresponsive - the petrified parents dial 999.

Episode 9
A six-year-old girl awakes to find her mum unconscious and bleeding from the mouth - the frightened youngster dials 999. A fisherman is swept from a pier by a ferocious wave into the turbulent sea - his horrified family look on.

Episode 10
A young girl gets hit by a tram on the way to school - pinning her leg underneath the carriage. A stunned takeaway customer films the moment the pavement explodes right in front of him.
