Pilot
Pete Young's dream comes true when he gets a job as a batboy with the New York Empires baseball club. His new job may be short lived however for two reasons; He has yet to tell his mother, who needs to sign a parental consent form; and he unintentionally gets involved in a steroids scandal involving one of the team's star players.

Breaking a Slump
Conrad is mired in a bad slump and Pete starts doubting his character. Betsy gets suspended and Lynne tries to teach her a life lesson.

Chin Music
Pete and the other new batboys spend the night at the stadium at the invitation of the senior batboys, unaware they are in for a hazing; Betsy and her friend lie to Lynne and go out to a bar; Conrad has an arranged date with a beautiful foreigner, but the evening takes a twist.

Trade Talks
Rumors begin to fly about Dean being traded, and Pete decides to do something about it; Kenny Baines returns to the team; Betsy continues to push Lynne's buttons.

Spectator Interference
Mike convinces Pete to run for class president. The mother of Betsy's best friend forbids her daughter from seeing Betsy after she gets caught drinking. Lou quits in a dispute with the club's efficiency expert.

Road Trip
Betsy graduates and plans on going to Miami with Sheila without telling Lynne, but when Sheila backs out, Betsy's solution lands her in hot water. Pete is invited to accompany the team on a road trip to Los Angeles where he decides to live a little after recent girlfriend troubles.

Between First & Home
Pete gets caught in the middle between CT and his girlfriend when he is asked to lie to cover CT's whereabouts. When Betsy's tough new parole counselor demands she provide details about her life, she decides to search for the father who abandoned them.

Stealing Home
Conrad asks Pete to help him as his personal assistant while he is out of town but Pete manages to get himself in trouble. Pete tries to get closer to Jessie but only manages to drive her away. Betsy's friend Angela stays with the Youngs for a few days and gets close to Lynne, to Betsy's surprise.

Save Situation
Pete and some of the Empire players risk their money in a real estate deal. Betsy looks for a job as part of her probation and ends up on a date with J.D.

Old Timers' Day (aka Seems Like Old Timers)
Dean convinces a baseball legend to come to the ballpark for old timer's day, but Lou is not impressed. A new girl starts work at the ballpark and Pete and Mike compete over her. Betsy attends a religious summer camp and finds herself one of the establishment.

Player Rep
The batboys start a side business by forging player's autographs, but Pete gets out of control. Taveras struggles with the first slump of his career. Betsy and J.D.'s burgeoning romance hits some bumps in the road.
