The four squads assemble on the grounds of Camp Windstorm. Commander Boesch addresses the men, and announces that the next competition will be between Bravo and Alpha. Bravo and Alpha face off in the Rope Climb Training Exercise. Five members of each team must climb up a rope, one at time, with a 40-pound pack on their back. After reaching the top, they must descend the rope, run to a nearby bunker, fire their weapon, and then return to where their teammates are gathered. Claggett is told sit out for Bravo to make the teams even. Alpha wins 25 extra points towards mission. Bravo and Alpha face off in another Training Exercise called the Double Pit Cross. Squads will tackle the course at the same time. They must first run across the rough terrain of the desert floor, then use a variety of rope and ladder bridges to cross a pit.
