The first host in Glasgow, 31-year-old project manager and self-proclaimed glamour puss Lauren, is hoping to impress with her unique Celtic-Caribbean fusion menu. As Lauren turns on the charm to wow her guests - 52-year-old civil servant Lydia, 34-year-old catering manager Garry, 24-year-old student Saoirse and 52-year-old fishmonger Bernadette - will her punchy flavours and exotic ingredients hit the spot? With such a mix of worldly flavours and classic Scottish fodder on the table, it's Lauren's sea bass that makes waves, but will her night do enough to make the early running to net the cash?

The series centers on these two parallel love stories set in two different time periods, with Jamie's parents in the early 18th-century Scottish Highlands and Claire's parents in WWI England.
