Roos's team investigates a break-in in a rural parish church and the disappearance of its sacristan Jozef. They soon discover it's about art theft, and notably the secret switching with a clever fake of a historical, according to devotees, miraculous wooden Madonna. Roos traces the forger Van Geysel and his fencing connection in the antiques business, but they dare use violence against him too.

Het Kind
Army vet Frank and Fabienne's marriage is in trouble over her desperate child-wish and his jealousy, causing him to drink. They would have died in a car crash if they weren't rescued by an old local, who turns out to be the grandpa of Dirk, whom he spends time with behind his stepfather's back, and stole Frank's wallet. Roos's team finds out whether it was a crime, suicide or accident. And what was the part of the Swedish backpacker Eskil they gave a lift provided he drove and Dirk?
