After searching in vain for fame by the traditional way, Wagner, a failed actor, turns to the eccentric guru Johnny Silva for help. Johnny's advice, which consists of "pretending until it works", propels Wagner to fame on the Internet, with millions of subscribers, invented love stories and false roles in movies. Having become a star, Wagner plans to surf the wave until exhaustion... except that he is banned before.
