Episode 1
After surviving a tragedy, paramedic Jenny struggles with PTSD and her life spirals out of control when she falls into a gambling addiction. Concealing her suffering from husband Chris, best friend Alison and daughter Rosie, Jenny returns to work, but she is unable to deal with her crippling anxiety. During a public meltdown, a stranger comes to Jenny's aid, Sasha, and the pair strike up a bond. Later, Jenny makes a confession to Sasha about the extent of her gambling addiction.

Episode 2
Chris is rocked to the core when he uncovers the truth about Jenny's gambling. In desperation, Jenny revisits Sasha and they discuss a plan to steal drugs from Jenny's workplace as she tries to come up with a way to secure the first instalment of her repayment to loan shark Connie Bertram.

Episode 3
Jenny is confronted by a heartbroken Chris, who has discovered another secret she has been hiding. Finding sanctuary at Sasha's, Jenny feels her resolve weakening as the lure of the poker tables, and a shiny new bank card, becomes almost too hard to resist.

Episode 4
With Sasha - and Jenny's money - nowhere to be found, Jenny chases the only lead she has - loan shark Connie Bertram, who agrees to help Jenny find her quarry - for a price. As she waits on news, Jenny is pressured by Raj to confess to the drugs thefts and resign, but Jenny's fed-up of being bullied and decides to give back as good as she gets.
