Wild Connection is a documentary series that explores the intricate biological and geological links between distant regions of the planet, specifically focusing on the Iberian Peninsula and Central America. The series chronicles the dramatic formation of landscapes, such as the closing of the Isthmus of Panama, and tracks how these events allowed for the migration and evolution of a diverse array of species, from the Spanish ibex and brown bears in Europe to jaguars and monkeys in the tropics. By examining these "forgotten places" and unique splendors, the show illustrates how isolation and connection have shaped the earth's most fascinating animal worlds across two different hemispheres.
