A variety of diaries are displayed in storefronts at the end of the year, and picture diary homework and class journals are common at schools. Foreigners are surprised at how much Japanese people like diaries. Our foreign guests visit a wind orchestra that became united through club diaries and a housewife who keeps a picture diary only of good things that happen each day.
