As the hot desert sun sets, Coyote and Cooper turn on their flashlights and explore the remarkable grounds of the Boyce Thompson Arboretum, a desert oasis for all kinds of creepy crawlies. The two quickly make their way up the dangerous ladder of species, from hairy tarantulas, glowing scorpions, and to the most dangerous of all, the rattlesnake!

You may have heard of snakes on a plane, but have you ever heard of snakes on an island? This episode of Wild Field Trip finds Coyote Peterson and guest host Sydney Hendrickson exploring Lake Erie's snake-covered South Bass Island, where a classic tale of heroes and villains plays out every day. The hero in this story is the Lake Erie water snake, and the villain, an invasive fish species known as the round goby, is wreaking havoc in the ecosystem. Sydney and Coyote are sent out on a snake scavenger hunt to capture as many Lake Erie water snakes as they can, which will help with ongoing efforts to protect this critical species.

Coyote and guest host Nazir Sall visit the renowned Endangered Wolf Center in Eureka, Missouri, to learn about some of our planet's most incredible endangered canid species. Under the guidance of the center's top canid keepers, Nazir learns how to gain the trust of a finicky fennec fox, prepare enrichment for the bizarre maned wolf, and finally help feed the most endangered canid in the U.S, the red wolf.
