To Catch a Sex Offender
Today in Britain, there are more reports of rape than ever before, but conviction rates are at a record low. The return of the Bafta-nominated documentary following the work of police, prosecution and other law professionals focuses on the challenges of investigating this complex and devastating crime. The programme follows two cases as they move through the system, from the perspective of the police and the Crown Prosecution Service as well as the accounts of the alleged victims.

Criminal Kids
With more than 700 children currently serving prison sentences across England and Wales, the documentary asks why Britain struggles to stop young offenders being sucked into a life of crime. DS Will Whale and his team at Southampton CID investigate 25 burglaries from elderly people's homes, crimes they suspect are connected to a group of teenagers. In Winchester Prison, a young inmate is sent to the segregation unit after climbing onto the roof, while in Hampshire, a probation officer is doing everything she can to keep a prolific offender on the straight and narrow.

Cops vs Criminals
This episode of the documentary follows Hampshire Police's Chief Constable Olivia Pinkney and her officers, as they tackle offending in two areas of serious crime - domestic violence and historic sex offences. In Southampton, Detective Sergeant Will Whale, who's been with the police for more than 30 years, is leading the team navigating the domestic abuse cases. Meanwhile, Detective Constable Paul Longhurst is working toward the trial of a PE teacher accused of sexually abusing a number of his pupils.
