Crimes of Passion tells stories of killers, trying to explain how seemingly normal individuals lose balance enough to commit the unthinkable act of murder in a passionate rage. The perpetrators include: James Poland, who kills his wife after she admits to having an affair; Norman (Butch) Thibert, who shot the man with whom his wife was having an affair; Elaine Trombley, who stabbed her lover to death during the final fight of their tumultuous relationship; Dorothy Joudrie, who shot her husband when he told her he was leaving her for another woman; Lilian Getkate, who shot and killed her husband, a psychologist, citing spousal abuse; Margaret Ann Malott, who killer her husband -- a drug dealer and police informant; Willie Suber, a respected man who kills one of his youngest daughter's boyfriend; Barbara Burns, whose mentally challenged sister is found dead in their home on her 40th birthday; Gladis Soto, a school teacher and mother of six who kills her husband after 15 years of abuse; Robert Oliver Scribner, who stabbed his girlfriend to death due to suspicions of cheating; Cheryl Lynn Lucas, who shot her husband after discovering he was leaving her for another woman; Peggy Darlene Ellis, who shot and killed her alcoholic husband when he threatened her one night; Rafat Chowdhury, an honest, hard-working Bangladeshi immigrant, who bludgeoned his cheating wife to death; Faical Labidi, who stabbed his lover, Ling Wang, to death in her car.
