Season 1
Season one follows Ben Coulter (Ben Whishaw), a young man who is accused of murder after a drunken night out, though is unable to remember committing the crime.
Episodes

Episode 1
New five-part thriller from Peter Moffat. At the end of an uncharacteristic drug- and drink-fuelled night out, 21-year-old Ben finds himself charged with murder. Unable to remember what happened and with all the evidence pointing towards him, he is facing life in jail. Ben thinks if he tells the truth he will be believed, but his legal team know otherwise.

Episode 2
Ben's legal team strike a deal with the prosecution which seems the best of all possible deals - but Ben will have to lie about the events of the fatal night. He seeks the advice of his junior counsel, Frances, on whether to take that morally dubious step.
When he makes a deadly enemy in jail, Ben struggles to find a way to simply survive.

Episode 3
Ben's new barrister hits on a defence which, if it works, will see Ben set free. She enlists Ben's solicitor to dig up evidence to support their argument, and once again Ben is required to lie about the fatal night's events.

Episode 4
Ben takes the stand and the formidable prosecution barrister starts to take his good character apart. It is left to Stone and Frances to find some shred of evidence to show that their client could not have committed the murder.

Episode 5
Final episode of the thriller about a young man who, after a drink and drugs fuelled night out, is charged with a murder he cannot remember.
Ben's day of reckoning arrives and while Stone tries to find more and increasingly desperate ways of getting his client released, Frances goes searching for the truth.
