Documentary project by Margarita Simonyan "Ch.T.D." On the eve of the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, the author and presenter will talk about the events of that terrible war through the prism of individual historical figures. For example, Margarita will tell about the fate and history of the legendary pilot Alexei Maresyev, the famous front-line correspondent and writer Boris Polevoy, how the famous female bomber aviation regiment "Night Witches" was formed and operated during the war, as well as how the main song of the war years, "Sacred War," was written, how one of the most famous underground anti-fascist organizations was created, consisting of young people, yesterday's schoolchildren, who became the prototype for the "Soldier-Liberator" monument in Treptower Park and much more. Each episode of the documentary project will use quotes from films, books and documents, biographies and memoirs of participants in the events.
