The crew of the cutter Searcher are on patrol off Cornwall when they spot a lone yacht sailing from the Canaries - a frequent transit point for cocaine. In Dover, a giant X-ray helps officers tackle industrial-scale smuggling in the thousands of trucks which pass through the port each day. In Bristol, a man coming from Turkey is caught with 5,000 cigarettes - well over the limit - and reacts angrily when told he's going to lose the lot.

Today, in Bristol, customs officer Joe stops a couple returning from Spain with 8,000 cigarettes in order to confirm that the cigarettes are for pair's personal use, but communicating with the man proves challenging. Customs hits the jackpot when the Specialist Rummage Team finds a ton of cannabis concealed in a truck in Dover, and an intimate search gets to the bottom of a suspected heroin smuggler at Gatwick.
