September 28 and 29, 1994: The hostage situation at Torp unfolds when two Swedish armed robbers fleeing two police officers and two pensioners hostage. In the pensioner's car, they are taken to Sandefjord Airport Torp.

September 29, 2004: One of the passengers on Kato Air's flight from Narvik to Bodø enters the cockpit and attacks the captain and helmsman with ax. Two of the fellow passengers understand that the only thing that can save them is to overpower the hijacker.

Sleipner-forliset
November 26, 1999: At 19.08, MS "Sleipner" encounters the Great Bloksen off Haugesund. Within 45 minutes, the ship sinks. All 85 people on board end up in the icy November water, some without a lifejacket. 16 people are killed.

January 4, 2000: At Åsta, south of Rena in Østerdalen, a local train on the road from Hamar collides with a remote train from Trondheim. Fuel leaks out of the trains, leading to a violent fire. Of the 86 passengers on board, 19 people perish.
