Januari
Lasse has his first day on the job in the psychiatry department, where a patient named Jim is admitted in the midst of a psychotic episode. Linsie is admitted during a manic episode and is immediately drawn to Lasse. Intern Lara is offered a job, but doesn't seem happy about it.

Februari
Danny is suffering from acute depression, but feels he doesn't belong in a psychiatric ward. Lasse is struggling with his new job and with Linsie, whose manic episode seems to be getting worse. Bella's parents are coming to visit.

Maart
An aggressive drug tourist named Mr. Baker is brought in suffering from psychosis. Lara is assigned to supervise intern Jaap, but she can't stand him. Linsie's mania begins to give way to depression.

April
Thanks to electroconvulsive therapy, Ms. Carillo is making progress for the first time. She has a crush on intern Jaap, much to Lara's jealousy. Lasse goes out of his way for Gabriëlle, who resists any form of therapy. Sheila seems to have a history with new patient Dries.

Mei
After a relapse, Bella returns to the ward, and the team is trying to figure out a way forward for her. Lara is at her wits' end with her mother, Iris, who has ended up in the hospital's emergency room. Dorien is trying to get her life back on track in the midst of a divorce.

Juni
Peer, the obsessive-compulsive brother of pediatric nurse Trui, is admitted to the ward. Lasse gets help from Mirjam with Bella's therapy and, in the meantime, tries to convince Linsie to try medication. Enver asks a coworker out on a date.

Juli
The ward is thrown into turmoil by the admission of a minister. Linsie is dismissed from the ward, but doesn't want to go home just yet. An unexpected death affects all the staff members, and Lara struggles with the lie she told Sheila.

Augustus
Elise takes charge of an aggressive Polish patient, but is reined in by Dr. Martens. Lara is back at the hospital because her mother was admitted to the ER with a heart attack. The team works hard to get her back to the ward.
