"De Kroongetuigen" reconstructs the facts and the interrogation of the perpetrator according to the court documents, spoke to the police who have done the research and with Veronique Crynen, the witness who put investigators on the trail of the perpetrator.
Three murders
The first victim, the 55-year-old Maria Bogaert was found dead at her home in September 1991, hanged. To secure his inheritance, Michel Desire killed his own father in February 1994, the 69-year-old Jean Meert. Michels son Chris Wens stood on the lookout. The latest victim was the 65-year-old Antoine Caluwé, who was assassinated in April 1996 at the request of his wife, Helena Crynen.
