De Recherche (The Investigation) shows for the first time how conducted a criminal investigation from start to finish. We follow different teams of the local Criminal Investigation Department (LRD) in Ghent. Each team is specialized on-site and is working furiously against the clock to solve their case: robbery with violence, deception, heavy drug deals and illegal prostitution. The camera follows each step in their research: the detection and identification of possible culprits, collecting the necessary evidence, searches and observations of the neighborhood or suspects, the arrest, the first questioning by detectives and the lead in the investigation judge.
