4pm: Ayman Mohyeldin is in for Nicolle Wallace. Ayman covers the breaking news that a U.S. F-15 fighter jet was shot down over southwestern Iran. One of the two-member crew was rescued, while the second person onboard has still not been found. A search and rescue operation is underway to try to find the second pilot. This jet strike comes hours after the U.S. attacked a bridge under construction in Iran, killing 8 people. Later, Ayman covers more breaking news out of the Pentagon where Secretary Pete Hegseth has fired Army Chief of Staff Randy George along with two other generals. This comes just days after reporting that Hegseth blocked the promotions of more than a dozen senior military officials, two of whom are women and two of whom are Black.

Later, Ayman covers reporting that suggests that Pam Bondi's firing is far from the last that Trump is considering. According to The Atlantic, there have been discussions in the White House suggesting that FBI director Kash Patel may also be in trouble.
