Look After the Pennies
Retired opera star Dame Hilda Bracket and her accompanist Dr Evadne Hinge have some money problems. Luckily, one of them has secretly been filling in the pools every week.

Sale or Return
When Dame Hilda gets invited to hand out prizes at a girls school, the two ladies decide to buy new hats. This way they can try out Evadne's new cash card as well.

Bowled Over
If Evadne agrees to act as an umpire for Dame Hilda's bowls competition, Dame Hilda will accept visitors from Stackton Tressel's twin town Bologna.

Alarms and Excursions
Mysterious sounds at night turn the ladies into detectives.

Doctor's Orders
Just when she's preparing her campaign for local office, Dr Evadne Hinge falls victim to suspected mumps. Dame Hilda finds a solution to the problems of seeing a doctor and of canvassing without actually getting near other people.

Don't Ring Us
The ladies celebrate Evadne's birthday. They then help out the vicar to convince the church commissioner to give a grant for the repairs of the church tower.
