Death in Paradise - Season 15

Season 15
DI Mervin Wilson tackles new mysteries on Saint Marie, while struggling to find his place on the island. Meanwhile, a newly uncovered family connection brings its own challenges.
Episodes

Episode 1
Selwyn's return to Saint Marie is disrupted by a suspicious death at Government House, where a man has fallen from the roof to his death. It looks like a suicide, but DI Mervin Wilson suspects foul play. However, no one was on the roof with the victim when he fell, and he'd locked the roof door behind him. So, if this man was pushed, how did it happen?
Meanwhile, Mervin is anxious to finally meet his half-brother Solomon, the other son of the mother Mervin never knew. Granted, the pair have never met before, but family's family! Surely, they'll get on like a house on fire?

Episode 2
An exclusive couples retreat turns deadly when the therapist is drowned at sea during her evening swim. When fingermarks are found on the victim's neck, Mervin confirms foul play was involved, and suspicion soon shifts to her clients - two couples who have paid a small fortune to mend their fractured marriages. But all four were having dinner together at the time of the murder, and while each member of the party slipped away from the table for a few minutes, there's no way any of them could have drowned their therapist in the middle of the ocean and made it back in time... is there?
Meanwhile, Mervin is determined to track down his brother, along with the possessions Solomon stole from him. But Mervin gets more than he bargained for when Solomon's attempts to make amends land them in hot water. Is it the end of the road for these belligerent brothers?

Episode 3
Mervin and the team are left perplexed when a reclusive pensioner is shot dead in his home. A prime suspect is quickly established in the form of an unassuming accountant. The evidence seems damning – a figure matching the suspect's description was witnessed fleeing the crime scene. And when questioned, there's clearly something shifty about this guy. The only problem? He's got a rock-solid alibi.
Meanwhile, the commissioner is determined to get the islanders back on side with a community-focused initiative. But tensions rise when Mervin goes rogue during the launch event.

Episode 4
The team are called to St Vincent's, a local church. Sylvie Godwin, an elderly parishioner, has perished after the large cross she was dusting apparently toppled on top of her. It looks like a tragic accident. The church was locked from the inside. And who could possibly want to kill the sweet and pious Mrs Godwin? But Mervin has his suspicions...
The case has a particular resonance for Seb. His mother is the long-time pastor at St Vincent's, and he has grown up in this church. Could one of the congregants, whom he has known all his life, really be capable of murder? As the investigation deepens and secrets surface, Seb must battle to keep his emotions out of a highly personal case.
Meanwhile, Mervin redoubles his efforts to settle into life on the island. After finding himself out of his depth at the local dominoes club, he devises a plan to bring a little flavour of London to Saint Marie.

Episode 5
The play's the thing! A touring theatre company are in town for their final performance of Shakespeare's The Tempest on one of Saint Marie's pristine beaches. During a raucous drinking scene, one of the leads keels over dead after drinking from a bottle of red wine. Tests reveal that the liquid contained a lethal quantity of cyanide. But two other actors drank from the same bottle both before and after the victim and emerged unscathed. So how on earth did he, and only he, perish?
Meanwhile, Mervin is informed that his half-brother Solomon is set to inherit everything from their deceased mother and promptly sell it off. Mervin is desperate to hold on to at least some sort of memento of her. The trouble is, Solomon will not return any of his calls. With time slipping away, Mervin may need to go unexpected lengths to reach his brother.

Episode 6
Mervin stumbles across a crime scene when he goes in search of his brother Solomon on Antigua. In a remote cabin, a local businessman has been shot. But Solomon and his associate Cheech both swear the other is responsible. And they're not letting Mervin go until each one has convinced him of their account. One of them is lying. But who?

Episode 7
Mervin and the team investigate the murder of a local newspaper's notorious agony aunt, poisoned the morning after her retirement party while reading her final advice column. The paperboy is swiftly ruled out, but the police are left stumped when he insists he delivered the stack of papers at random. Nobody else in the neighbourhood was taken ill, so how could the killer have ensured the victim would pick up the only poisoned copy?
Meanwhile, Mervin resists the counselling sessions Selwyn has imposed after the case in Antigua. And as he grapples with his feelings towards his brother, Mervin gets a rude awakening from an unexpected figure. Is blood really thicker than water?

Episode 8
The body of Giles, an eccentric monster hunter, is recovered from the sea. He bears injuries oddly suggestive of the legendary creature he's spent years chasing: the Lusca. The ever-rational Mervin Wilson dismisses the idea that there are supernatural elements to this case. But if this mythic beast from local folklore didn't kill Giles – who, or what, did?
Meanwhile, Mervin's life is turned upside down by the presence of his mischievous niece, Eloise. But he has a difficult decision to make about whether to break some unwelcome news to the youngster about the father she clearly loves.
