Mishima's Chapter: Rebirth
Mishima, a protege of Det. Soichiro Yagami, Light's father, joins the special team in charge of dealing with protecting Death Note and any deaths related to it. It's been 10 years since Light Yagami a.k.a. Kira died, so things have calmed down, but once a scrap metal worker dies of an apparent heart-attack, Mishima is sent to investigate. Turns out the victim did not die due to Death Note and perpetrator was caught only for actual heart-attack killings to start again, and this time, it was concluded to be by someone who has a Death Note. With Mishima in charge, the team is ready to start hunting the new Kira.

Ryūzaki's Chapter: Dying Wish
Ryuuzaki, the new successor to "L" is helping with cases around the world, sometimes helped by "J" and in contact with Near who also acknowledges him as L's right successor. He finds himself working on a closed-room murder case that is caused done by Death Note. He finds the perpetrator rather different from old Kira, and on top of that, he finds new Kira is also looking for that Death Note owner, thus realising there are at least two Death Notes out there and he's set to collect them all. But this time alone, so tragedy like with Watari doesn't happen again.

Shien's Chapter: Fanataticism
Shien, the new Kira, had a rough childhood, and perpetrator who murdered his family was let out. Shien couldn't cope with that and had nightmares every night. But, the perpetrator was killed by Kira, and Shien was finally able to take a breather. He decided to use other people for his goals like Kira did, and got into cyber terrorism. One day, Ryuk dropped his Death Note right in Shien's room. Normal person would've been shocked, but Shien, who was crazy already, found his new calling. Thus, the reign of new Kira started. But once other Death Notes started to appear, Shien was determined to collect them all.
