The former city commissioner Sonja Schwarz has hardly settled down in the South Tyrolean wine region when things get really thick: the body of a girl who disappeared ten years ago turns up and her husband Thomas of all people is suspected of murder. Determined to relentlessly clear up the case, she wants to prove his innocence despite incriminating evidence. But the combative "Mrs. Commissario" is on her own: Not only her colleague Jonas Kerschbaumer, but also the new supervisor Matteo Zanchetti considers him the main suspect. Nevertheless, Sonja courageously targets the powerful local politician Stefan Keller, who was also in contact with the girl at the time. Her arbitrary investigations and the capo's feelings towards her ensure that that there is a lot of crunching in the newly assembled detective team. Unfortunately, there is only little time to get used to each other, because there is still more to do: The mafia wants a lost drug shipment back - and is over corpses. And that's only because the casual worker Rainer Gruber believed, with a chance discovery of two kilogramsHitting the jackpot with cocaine. Instead of finally getting rid of all his money worries, he puts himself and others in danger - even his own family. Because he and his accomplice unsuspectingly offer the hot goods for sale to the shady noble restaurateur Rossi of all people. However, he maintains the best contacts with the mafia, which has long since sent a professional to retrieve it.
Crime specialist Thorsten Näter has cleverly embedded the exciting case in the grandiose scenery of the South Tyrolean landscape and can fall back on two experienced professionals in cameraman Achim Hasse and screenwriter Jürgen Werner. In "The Fifth Commandment", the investigators around Chiara Schoras, as a desperate and combative "Frau Commissario", not only have to solve the death of a girl, but also stop a series of mafia murders. They are reinforced by Tobias Oertel, who returns as Capo Zanchetti, and Floriane Daniel as the unconventional coroner Heidi Grüner. Other roles include Xaver Hutter, Charleen Deetz, Lisa Kreuzer, Gabriel Raab, Hanspeter Müller-Drossaart, Heio von Stetten, Julia Stemberger, Roeland Wiesnekker and Thomas Sarbacher.
