Das Mädchen am Ufer des Corrib

Cathrin Blake (Désirée Nosbusch) has decided after ten years to work as a criminal psychologist with the Galway police force in addition to her psychiatric practice. She has no idea that this will lead to a serious conflict of conscience when she looks after the young, suicidal Nathan Smith (Robert McCormack), a so-called traveler who moves through Ireland with his clan without a permanent home. Nathan loves Maggie Dunne (Emma Eliza Regan), a young ambitious woman, also a tinker like himself, who is secretly studying psychology. Both dream of a different, better future. But then Maggie is found dead, murdered and made up like a doll. Nathan, who was spotted arguing with Maggie, becomes a murder suspect.
But Cathrin recognizes the sexual fantasies of another of her patients in the disturbing production - Jack Sweeney (Chris Newman). But is Jack really capable of such brutal ritual murder? Has the line between fantasy and crime been crossed here? Cathrin finds herself in an irresolvable contradiction between her responsibility for her patient and the solving of a horrific murder.
