A tax consultant is found dead by his girlfriend. Beaten to death with a wine bottle. Her relationship leads senior public prosecutor Reuther to the notorious red light boss Seiler. A suspicious client of the victim, Simone Mehlbeck, runs a wine shop. But something is wrong: wines delivered to the victim are part of an investment worth millions. Wine as an investment? Reuther knows where so much money is involved, there are motives for crimes. Then Commissioner Schubert is gunned down in action, and the case takes on new explosiveness. Reuther and Kerstin Klar have to investigate further on their own and find out: The victim, Klaus Leopold, bought wine from Simone Mehlbeck for shady characters. But the husband, David Mehlbeck, had forged it. Now her life is in danger too.
