Diane de Poitiers, la plus que reine - Season 1

Season 1

Episodes

La presque reine
At the heart of the Renaissance, a woman rides ahead in the race for honors: Diane de Poitiers, whose unalterable beauty fuels rumors and legends. Despite her undivided ascendancy over Henri, the youngest son of François I, her position at court remained fragile in the face of the powerful Anne de Pisseleu, the king's favorite, who had a fierce hatred for him. Won't Henry's marriage to Catherine de Medici definitively compromise the dreams of Diana, who does not hesitate to compare herself to the goddess Artemis? Can the great Nostradamus himself predict the future of the woman who bathes in moon water and drinks golden potions?...

La plus que reine
France in the 16th century. Diane de Poitiers, widowed and without fortune, uses her beauty to reach the summit of power. Mistress and favorite of the dauphin of France Henri, she knows that her position at court remains fragile in the face of the powerful Anne de Pisseleu, the favorite of King François I, who has a fierce hatred for her. Henry's marriage to Catherine de Medici, then his accession to the throne after the death of the king, did not, however, prevent Diane from gaining influence, wealth and power. Josée Dayan has brought together an exceptional cast in the service of a fascinating story.
